Just a drop of water can indicate the stability of a bridge

Nelson has been named the recipient of the 2012 Phi Kappa Phi Distinguished Faculty Lectureship. Prof. Nelson attended BYU from 1982 to 1994, earning his bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. degrees in civil and environmental engineering.

BYU Steel Bridge Takes First Place at Rocky Mountain Conference

BYU participated in this year’s Rocky Mountain Conference which was hosted by Utah State University on April 4 – 6, 2013 in Logan.
 
Our students placed 3rd Overall.  Our Concrete Canoe did fantastic, but faced very tough competition and unfortunately did not place in any award category.

1st Place Technical Paper and Presentation
