The pavement group at ERDC is recruiting for 4-5 engineering positions ranging from entry-level BS to senior level researchers.  We conduct research and development on all aspects of pavement including emerging material and equipment solutions. We have a healthy research program with an annual funding of approximately $30M and projects including characterization of rapid setting concrete materials, asphalt materials research, geosynthetics, soil stabilization, development of advanced pavement design methods, nondestructive testing methods, accelerated pavement testing, equipment studies, and joint sealants.  In addition, the ERDC offers on-site classes from Mississippi State, Texas A&M and LSU towards a Master’s Degree with opportunities to attend long-term training off-site to pursue a PhD.

Prospective candidates should have close to a 3.5 GPA or better to be eligible for hire under our Distinguished Scholar Program. We do also require candidates to be U.S. citizens due to the nature of the work, but we are open to engineers of all disciplines given the diverse teaming required for many of our projects.  We are recruiting for all areas of pavement research, but have specific needs in PCC research and advanced modeling.  If you have students or colleagues that might be interested, I’d be happy to chat with them regarding this opportunity. A recent resume would be an excellent start, and if both parties are interested after talking, we’ll pay for candidates to visit ERDC for an interview.  Thank you for your help.
