From January 10 to 14, students from the BYU ITE Student Chapter attended and presented in the 94th Annual TRB Meeting in Washington D.C. At the conference, thousands gathered for the technical presentations, poster displays, and exhibits on display at the Washington Convention Center. The students also have a chance to see some of the historical sites available in the Washington D.C. area. The DC Metro system was used on a daily basis to travel from the hotel to the conference center.
BYU ITE Members, David Bassett, Aaron Cook, Daniel Jean, and Sam Mineer visited ITE Headquarters in downtown Washington D.C. They joined dozens of other students from across the world to hear from ITE International Leaders, John Kennedy, Thomas Brahms, Paula Benway, and many others.
In addition to attending the technical session, Aaron Cook and Sam Mineer presented in the Horizontal & Vertical Alignment Design session and Congested Pricing & Managed Lanes poster showcase, respectfully. Other recent graduates who presented include Jacob Farnsworth, Seishi Yamagata, and Sharla Montgomery.
BYU faculty and Alumni gathered Monday night for dinner. Next years 95th Annual Meeting will be held January 10 through 14 in the Washington Convention Center, Washington D.C.
