Water Resources Engineering Department Intern

Job Summary

Salt Lake City Water Resource group is seeking a highly talented and creative Intern that can support project managers with their current and projected workload. Additional staff with help or relieve assignments for roadway work, FEMA work, mining and industrial client assignments. The Salt Lake City AECOM office is staffed by over 100 science and engineering professionals working in a wide variety of technical disciplines, including geotechnical engineering, environmental planning, air quality, water and wastewater treatment, transportation engineering, investigation and remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater, solid waste, structural engineering, and construction management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently in pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Environmental engineering with an emphasis in water/wastewater or other related field required

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Must have strong mathematical skills and spatial awareness

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be able to write and convey thoughts, and organize data in an efficient and clear manner

  • Effectively multi-task

  • Willingness to work in multiple engineering and engineering related disciplines

  • Must have good time management skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and most importantly, a strong desire to learn

  • Qualified applicants will be asked to share a technical writing sample prior to interview

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
