The Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering and Technology received new and continued accreditation for eight programs from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), Inc. The rest of the college’s programs are accredited by other organizations.
The chemical, civil and environmental, electrical and computer, and mechanical engineering programs all received renewed accreditation from the ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission. The information technology program was renewed by the Computing Accreditation Commission, while the Engineering and Technology Accreditation Commission renewed the manufacturing engineering technology program's accreditation.
The newest addition to BYU’s list of ABET accredited programs is construction management. For the first time, it was accredited by the ABET Applied Science Accreditation Commission. It was previously accredited by the American Council for Construction Education.
ABET publishes a list of all accredited programs annually. That list can be found at www.abet.org.
