Six students from BYU’s Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering and Technology were recent recipients of the National Science Foundation’s prestigious post-graduate fellowship.
Brady Quist, Caleb Miskin, Dustin Gerrard, Kevin Moon, Micah Jenkins, and Wesley Cole were six of 14 students selected from BYU. Collectively these engineering and technology representatives could opt to use their awards at the following universities: BYU, the Georgia Institute of Technology, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Purdue, Stanford and the University of Texas-Austin.
Those awarded receive three years of support with a $30,000 annual stipend along with a $10,500 cost-of-education allowance to their post-graduate institution. Recipients also have opportunities to participate in international research and professional development, as well as access to a TeraGrid Supercomputer.
While six were awarded the fellowship, three others from the Ira A. Fulton College received honorable mentions. Brock Peterson, Gregory Macfarlane and John Broderick will be attending Georgia Tech, the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, respectively.
There were eight honorable mentions from BYU.
