The Central Utah Water Conservancy District (District) is seeking a Geomatic student for an internship position at its Orem office. The District manages and maintains billions of dollars of water related infrastructure including dams, tunnels, pipelines, structures, water treatment plants, and hydroelectric facilities which are used to deliver both primary and secondary water. This position will primarily be required to locate original legal documents and input them into a GIS. Some field work may be needed to locate and survey monumentation related to the legal documents. This internship requires an understanding of GIS & Cartographic principles, a working knowledge of COGO (coordinate Geometry) metes and bounds legal descriptions, coordinate conversions, ESRI software platform, and a basic understanding of GPS surveying.
