Compass Engineering, LLC. Structural Engineer

Compass Engineering, LLC, located in Midvale, Utah, is hiring for a staff engineer position.

The position is full-time, but part-time during school is OK. Will work around class schedule within reason.

The candidate will assist in design of commercial and residential buildings.

Qualifications include familiarity with Excel, and some familiarity with wood design. Experience with Enercalc, steel design, and masonry design is a plus. Will train in these areas as needed.

Candidate should have the ability to work on multiple projects and be punctual.

Under general direction of the City Engineer. This position is responsible for public coordination and communication for projects, design preparation of detailed construction plans and specifications, review and processing of private development plans, and responsible for maintenance of bonds, liens and recordings of public records. This position has the added responsibility to oversee and maintain surveying operations in the City.
